Linescratchers Song of the Week: Crazy Horses by The Osmonds

Don’t watch the video. The video will distract you. The video has white boy dancing and an invisible drummer and horn players. This isn’t the video of the week. It’s the song of the week.

For 2 minutes and 30 seconds in 1972, the Osmonds had an unqualified moment of PURE ROCK BLISS. I don’t care who you are, this song legitimately rocks and has more than enough stomp and wail to hang with the best hard rock/proto-metal of the era. The Osmonds far transcend their “Mormon Jackson 5″ roots and deliver not only one of the greatest rock songs written and performed by Mormons, but one of the greatest rock songs of the 70s period.
