I just found this blog and am very glad I did. I first heard Low in college but didn’t really discover them until later. _Long Division_ is the soundtrack to my last two years at BYU even though I never heard a note of it until years later.

Alan and Mimi have been a very strong inspiration to me too. I’m glad to have read this interview here!

I got The Great Destroyer today and listened to it three times through. Great stuff. It seems like it has a kind of power to strip you from all of life’s annoying complexities and leave you alone with a pure little safe melody.

This interview touched me, Arthur. After reading your interview with Alan and listening to the music of LOW, I wonder if you should change your motto to “LDS musicians who don’t necessarily write LDS music”. By this, I mean that many of the lyrics are deep and profound, even inspiring. Isn’t that what the LDS alternative music community is searching for?

Great interview. Low is amazing. My fave low album is curtain hits the cast.
